This scholarly paper investigates the complex interplay between policy dynamics, food supply chains, and food security within the urban confines of DKI Jakarta, Indonesia. The research sheds light on the profound impact of policy changes on various sectors of food supply chains, including production, distribution, consumption, and waste management, thereby determining the city's food security status. Emphasizing the importance of policy stability and coherence, the paper illustrates the potential disruptions in food supply chains resulting from inconsistent policy shifts, posing threats to urban food security. The study concludes with strategic recommendations aimed at enhancing the resilience and efficiency of food supply chains through robust policy mechanisms. The findings of this study serve as a crucial reference for policymakers and stakeholders concerned with reinforcing food security in dense urban landscapes like DKI Jakarta.
