Abstract

With the vigorous development of China's economy, the influence of the "Belt and Road Initiative" has been expanding continuously. The number of African students studying in China has increased sharply. According to the statistics on Chinese students studying abroad in 2016 released by the Ministry of Education: Africa is the second largest source of Chinese students after Asia. In 2016, a total of 61,594 students came to study in China, an increase of 11,802 compared with the previous year, with a year-on-year growth rate of 23.7%, ranking first among all regions. In the planning for the internationalization of higher education in Zhejiang Province (2010-2020), it is pointed out that the scale of international students in Zhejiang universities will reach more than 4% of the total student population by 2020, among which the scale of international students in advantageous majors or key disciplines will reach more than 8% of the total student population. The management of international student education is a new issue faced by all universities in promoting educational internationalization. The differences in regional culture, living habits, and learning methods pose great challenges to educational management. Therefore, conducting research on the management of international student education is of great practical significance.
